Core Cutter is a specialized tool used in various industries such as geology, mining, and construction to extract cylindrical samples from the earth or other materials. The device typically consists of a hollow cylindrical blade, sharpened at the edges and attached to a handle for easy maneuverability. The core cutter is used by professionals to obtain precise and undisturbed samples of rocks, soil, or other materials for analysis and testing purposes. By extracting core samples, scientists and engineers are able to gain valuable insights into the composition, structure, and properties of the material being studied, which helps in making informed decisions related to research, construction, or resource exploration.
The process of using a core cutter requires a high level of precision and expertise, as any errors or inaccuracies in the extraction process can affect the quality and reliability of the sample obtained. Professionals using a core cutter must have a thorough understanding of the material being sampled, as well as the technical specifications and operating procedures of the tool. Additionally, proper handling and maintenance of the core cutter are essential to ensure its optimal performance and longevity. Overall, the core cutter plays a crucial role in scientific research and industrial applications by providing researchers and engineers with valuable data and insights that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and innovation in various fields.
AJC core cutters are designed and built in the USA to be the fastest and easiest way to extract core samples from built up roofing (BUR). The Power-Core is to be used with heavy duty cordless and corded drills, with 1/2” minimum drill chucks and high torque motors.
The Power-Core roof cutter uses a heavy duty threaded rod to power the cutting tube (drill forward direction) in taking core. When the core has been taken, simply reverse the drill direction to eject the core. This core cutter is 2 inches in diameter and extracts cores up to 7 inches deep. Heat treated.
